Pendulum Ruins

I've never been so greatly disturbed in my entire life until I learned to favor wayward inquiries about humanity and the world with further intrepidity. Just like how everything really came into existence without considering the unanimous idea that there is a Supreme Being who ventured the creation of mankind while giving them the free will to make their own decisions and actions to be able to test their fidelity and faith in Him. Why, or should we really have to agree and get used to it out of fear of isolating oneself among the unfurling public conviction that originated basically from the Orthodox principles of old religious doctrines? How about the Evolution Theory that escalated the whole idea of Charles Darwin and the Cosmic Evolution starting from the explosion of matter some 15 to 18 billion years ago? How about Miller's Chemical Evolution and his theory of Spontaneous Generation? How do we justify the latter concepts that followed and generated like the Biological Evolution Theory with the rationalization of the intermediate links?

If I would entertain a fed-up knowledge straight to my brain without even complaining or reasoning out, I would end up like a humanoid, and the thought of that irks me and makes me ill. But then, I look around and see billions of people who don't bother to be critical and sensitive to what's going on around them. Somehow like loafers, they are often victims of social contagion. They're like cybernetic machines that are functioning spontaneously and conventionally and have abated growth because they hate the idea of becoming outcasts. If I say I converted into an atheist, many people wouldn't find it funny. So if I was born during Plato's time, probably I'd be imprisoned and later executed simply because I began to use my brain!

Freedom of thought unbars the offspring of reason. This is why to dig into the corpse of knowledge, reason is ubiquitously necessary to ascertain, like a thirst to quench and hunger to slake (or you'll die like a beggar). This is how creatures learned to value creation and existence. This is how ancient philosophers and thinkers stumbled upon the Universal Laws and made logical explanations of nature. This is how inventors promoted the science of technical processes and traveled beyond Earth. This is why humans are called rational in the first place, although, to say all humans are rational is an entangled colloquy less amusing to leak as a paradox. This is why humans are also called witless.

But I certainly believe Marx:

"Philosophers and thinkers have only interpreted the world in various ways when the point is to change it."

Exactly how many religious fanatics also believe in the evilness of greed, corruption, and injustice, abhor the consequences of poverty, human rights violations, and other forms of social ills but do nothing about it? Encounter them inside the splendid temples kneeling and praying in petition to resolve these dilemmas but never pay attention to the beggars seeking charity outside the palatial doors. "Blessed are the poor," they say. But they turn down to offer up some of their possessions haunted with fear to become indigents. And because they are afraid to risk their lives, they render frugal sacrifices. "Blessed are the peacemakers," they say. So to restore harmony and peace, they choose to be silent. But neither philanthropy nor altruism thrives as a panacea to privation, neither silence a cure to disorder and chaos.

How emphatically easy to preach all the pervading complexity of the gospel but how difficult to put them into practice. No wonder why centuries ago, Averroes and Avicenna refuted the Bible as false and only symbolic tales for ignorant folks. Damn the curiosity why humans even before the dark ages were already masters and slaves!

We give empathy to the oppressed and the morose plight of the people but we forget to excavate the grounds of truth to come across the very roots of these adversities. We forget to see that social conflicts are basically of economic and political cause. Although terrors of imperialism, the bureaucracy of capitalism, and feudalism are conspicuous, those who can mold public opinion are wise to unduly influence the masses and give a halt on the critical analysis of the people's miserable plight. But so long as the unequal distribution of resources manifests itself and too much wealth remains in the hands of a few, poverty will go downhill and avoidance of waging war is unyielding.

Then and now, those who favor the bloody revolution are more often than not subject to public condemnation, branded as subversives and enemies of the state, and to further illustrate their idiosyncrasy, labeled them like heretics. How many times had the streets witnessed the wailing mob, the sweat and blood of fascism, the martyrs unknown while people grin with the thought of chivalry like Don Quixote?

Yeah, Quixotic. Erratic fools. And so they say. Many ask for a remedy for them.

Most people are reactionaries and are easily undulated by the conventional majority. Many are living their lives to conform and are afraid to criticize all iniquitous. While others are fearless so even as to perform like an outcast to prove not only their rationality and worth but to give meaning to their being. For if the eccentricity of a person is quite perilous to their being acceptable to many, it is also the jeopardy of a person to become oscillated by the wrong crowd so nearly alike as a dancing pendulum.

Quixotic. Erratic fools. Many ask for a remedy for them. But then the fools will reply:

"You pray for resolutions, we seek them ourselves. You ask for a remedy, we make it."
